What happens when an interior designer is trained in architecture too?

The results are stunning. Take a look at how my unique background in interior design and architecture can take your home to the next level - and make your renovation go smoother than ever.

Classically trained in both design and architecture

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master of Architecture from Boston Architectural College, I like to say I have the perfect understanding of interior design and structure. My background in architecture allows me to understand the construction process. This is especially beneficial to my clients during home renovations when I can help them communicate with their architect and general contractor, so the project moves along quickly and seamlessly.

In addition, I have more than 16 years of experience executing intensely accurate architectural drawings. You can trust that I will measure your space to perfection - and even measure twice.

Finally, my architectural background means I’m not just an interior decorator. I think deeply about the purpose of your space and how you will live in it. Then I recommend eye-opening solutions that match your lifestyle. Together, we’ll discuss arranging furniture and artwork, and implementing out-of-the-box ideas.

Fresh, creative, and 100% original home designs

For nearly 20 years, I’ve helped clients choose furniture and fabrics to create their home’s unique style. I started my career as a design specialist at Ethan Allen, where I discovered a love for textiles and window treatments, and an even greater love for helping homeowners. From there, I studied architecture and was mentored by one of Boston’s most successful architects. For 12 years, I executed flawless architectural drawings for homes that were featured on This Old House and HGTV.

Today you’ll find me crafting mood boards, discovering rare and beautiful artwork, and mapping out functional layouts for clients. I love discovering antique shop treasures just as much as new furniture online. I spend hours poring over wallpapers and textiles, and find inspiration from nature, art galleries, and local museums.

Most of all, my clients keep me motivated and inspired. To me, there’s nothing better than understanding their dream homes and helping them make their visions reality.
